In the summer of 2023 at The Lead's Innovation Summit, Andrew co-hosted a workshop with Ron Thurston: From Pop-Ups to a Full Store Footprint: What Digital Native Brands Need to Know About Operating Successful Physical Retail.

About your instructor

Andrew's career started in investment banking at Sagent Advisors, but quickly pivoted to the world of retail by joining Hudson Bay Company’s Capital Planning team. After learning the ropes in a big box retailer, he dreamed of joining an emerging and disruptive brand. 

After following Bonobos in the news, and as a passionate customer himself, he eventually joined and led the company’s Real Estate & Strategy team before, during, and after the eventual sale to Walmart for $310m. Following the acquisition, he built Walmart’s Real Estate Shared Services platform, which serviced the broader portfolio of Digital Consumer Brands (Bonobos, ModCloth, ELOQUII, Allswell). He later also led the Bonobos FP&A and Retail Strategy functions. 

After Bonobos and Walmart, he built and led various teams at Interior Define, including Finance & Accounting, Sales & Sales Operations, Real Estate & Strategy, and Innovation. 

Andrew is currently a Development Executive at Elase Med Spa, where he leads new location expansion and strategy.

Having spun up and shut down various real estate programs for digital brands, he developed a passion for scaling and teaching brands the “clicks to bricks playbook” in a variety of formats. 

Andrew also serves on the Associate Council for Delivering Good, a non-profit uniting retailers and poverty-stricken individuals, on the Advisory Board for The Lead, a DTC-focused conference and media organization, and on The Retail Cloud Alliance's Advisory Council.
